Course Fishing Holidays in Denmark

Lots of really fishable waters with lakes large and small and the excellent river Guden that links a number of the Mid Jutland lakes around Silkeborg and Ry. Pleasant
countryside, lots of space and a friendly country with good summer weather from late May into late September. Early October can fish really well for roach and if mild decent bream fishing too.

With a big head of roach and bream and some waters with rudd and tench, this area offers lots of waters all within an easy drive. The Kolind Canal is a unique small water that flows. It carries a huge head of quality fish with roach over 2 pounds, bream over 6 pounds together with big rudd, pike and sea trout. It’s only about 14 metres wide and 3 to 7 feet deep but sits stuffed with fish.

The lakes offer great waggler, pole and feeder fishing for roach, hybrids and bream. Silkeborg, Viborg, Skanderborg, Stilling and Horsens (Bygholm) are prime locations.

The Guden is a great river to stick float or pole for roach, or feeder fish the opposite slacks for bream and rudd. Some areas of the Guden have bream into double figures.

Regular client Keith Lidgett bagged 150lbs of bream from Bygholm at Horsens in just a short session on the day he arrived in Denmark last year, and still had time to get to Lakeside Lodge for an evening meal in the restaurant.
