Fishing Holidays in Norway
Avik Brygge -
Saildrive via Stavanger (new route)
Avik Brygge is only 3 hours drive from Stavanger on a fast quiet road. With sandy beaches, two scenic fjords, and rocky headlands, it’s ideal both for fishing (from shore or boat) and for family holidays, especially in the warmer summer months from June to August.
Our self-catering accommodation is in clean and comfortable apartments sleeping up to five, situated right in the harbour.
Each apartment is allocated a 15-foot self-drive boat with sea charts, an echo sounder and a 9–15HP outboard.
Expect prolific fishing, but not for the size of cod caught in our northern Norway centres. Larger boats can be hired.
Guided fishing on Bluefin available, low prices.
The main species are cod, codling, pollack, ling, coalfish and mackerel. Cod are at their best from March to June, and huge mackerel shoals move in during the summer months. Overall, the season runs from March to October. This is not a big fish area, but scenic and lots of variety of species.
We also have lots of individual holiday cottages, dotted in fjords along the south coast. Phone us, or request our Norway brochure, for more details.
